PINELANDS GROVE - A PREMIUM OFFERING IN RETIREMENT ACCOMMODATION
Lightstone Property research shows that the Western Cape housing market
is attracting a growing percentage of South Africa’s retiree home buyers.
Population projections based on the 2011 census estimate that the Western
Cape’s population is expected to age significantly over the next three decades,
as more people move to the area from other provinces. By 2030, there will be
considerable more people in the older age categories, including those at
retirement age.
“With retirement
accommodation in short supply, it’s imperative that people start planning for
their golden years. Pinelands Grove offers premium, community living in one of Cape
Town’s most beautiful suburbs,” says Bev Bloch, Pam Golding Properties
development executive, Western Cape. Pinelands Grove is more than just a
retirement village; it is a lifestyle for people wanting to LIVE, LAUGH AND
RELAX in a safe environment. “Residents
enjoy sharing life experiences with the community, and they have an opportunity
to take part in the many functions activities on offer,” she adds.
Units are sold on a life rights basis and the retirement village is ably
managed by the Cape Peninsula Organisation for the Aged (CPOA), which has more
than six decades’ experience in retirement living. Buyers can choose from
traditional studios or the more spacious two-bedroom units and assisted living
services in the apartments are available as needed. Frail care is on
site. Self-catering apartments are well priced from R495 000 to R575 000
for a studio unit, from R895 000 to R1.195 million for a one-bedroom unit and
from R1.595 million for a two-bedroom unit.
With new lifestyle add on’s having being introduced, Pinelands Grove Retirement Village now has a mini gym, a licensed bar for residents open at designated
hours, a coffee shop, a library, heated pool, coin operated laundromat, a
hairdresser, games room, quiz nights, bingo weekly, organised outings and so
much more.
